The Natural Mirrors the Spiritual

Natural things mirror Spiritual things through the characteristics that are shared between the visible and the invisible, or the tangible and the intangible. Our starting point for understanding is not the Spiritual but rather the natural. We begin our trajectory of maturity comprehending the visible things first, and then the invisible.

The Quest For Maturity

To mature, is movement in the direction of transcending the script of any previous stage of maturity. It is a posture of ever expanding knowledge, growth and changing relationships and responsibility.

Fractal Design, Nesting Patterns

Fractal designs are observed in the way a tree is composed of a general form that continues to break into smaller yet similar forms all the way down to the smallest twigs. The vein structure of a leaf follows a similar pattern as does our circulatory system that moves from first order arteries all the way down to the smallest capillaries. Fractals are patterns of varying size yet similar in form. These patterns can be found as both nesting and/or in sequence. It's the stream, the creeks and rivers. It's the ridges and the valleys.

The Quest For Balance

Wherever living things identify their need and seek to meet that need, this is the quest for balance. When the sun rises and warms the earth, hot air rises creating a vacuum and in rushes cooler air and we call that wind. This is the quest for balance. When carbon dioxide in your bloodstream elevates too high it sends a signal to your diaphragm muscles causing your diaphragm to expand. This creates a vacuum inside your lungs compared to the atmospheric pressure outside of your body and we take a breath in the quest for balance.
